Akerfeldt Coat - Digital Sewing Pattern

Regular price $22.00 $0.00
Tax included.

The Akerfeldt Coat is an unlined, boxy fit coat with a utilitarian aesthetic. It is finished
neatly on the inside with facings and flat felled seams.
This coat features chest pockets with flaps, hip pockets and comes with a choice of a collar or a hood.

Sizes Available:

A to M  - see size chart in images

This pattern has been drafted for a height of 5’10.

This coat is a boxy fit with about 17cm / 7in of ease factored in around the chest, to allow for layers to be worn underneath. You may prefer to go down a size if you’re wearing it without many layers and want a slimmer fit.

It’s recommended to make a toile first in an inexpensive fabric to work out any fitting
alterations you may need, before cutting into your chosen fabric.

Finished Garment Measurement:

Suggested Fabrics:

Mid to heavy weight outerwear fabrics: Canvas, waxed canvas/oil cloth, rigid denim,
corduroy, duck cotton.

Please note: If you’re using a patterned fabric with a repeat that you’d like to match, you may need more fabric than what is suggested. Use your discretion.

Ensure your fabric is washed and ironed before cutting (if it can be washed and ironed)

Notions:

- Matching thread to your fabric. I recommend using upholstery weight thread.

- 110cm of interfacing (the weight of interfacing needed depends on your fabric weight. You may only need a lightweight interfacing for heavier duty fabrics such as canvas, but prefer a stiffer interfacing for fabrics such as corduroy).

- x7 snap fasteners or buttons (1.5cm to 2cm)

 - Up to 300cm of 2.5cm/1 inch wide bias binding
