Suggested Fabrics:

Main fabric- This style is open to a wide variety of fabric choices – nothing too stiff though as it needs to be slightly gathered in by the ribbing bands. Moleskin, tencel, cotton blends, nylon, ponte or similar structured knits.

Lining: A light/medium weight fabric with a silky/slippery handle to it. If you use fabric with a stretch in it for the main, ensure your lining has the same stretch quality.

Ribbing – ensure it’s a heavier, quality ribbing that has good recovery from being stretched out.

Fabric Needed (based on largest size):

Main Fabric:

For 120cm wide fabric - 215cm needed

For 140cm+ wide fabric - 155cm needed

Lining:

For 120cm wide fabric - 210cm needed

For 140cm+ wide fabric - 155cm needed

Ribbing:

For 120cm + wide, 25cm is needed.

For ribbing with a width smaller than 120cm, you will need 35cm and may need to cut the hem band in 2 separate pieces and join in the centre.

If you’re using a patterned fabric with a repeat that you’d like to match, you may need more fabric than what is suggested above. Use your discretion.

Smaller sizes may need less fabric than what is recommended.

Ensure your fabric is washed and pre-shrunk before cutting.

Notions:

Thread, Top stitch thread (optional), 30cm of light weight iron on interfacing

Open ended jacket zip (metal teeth recommended) –

XS: 57cm zip, S: 58cm zip, M: 58cm zip, L: 59cm zip, XL: 60cm zip, XX: 61cm zip, 3X: 61cm zip.

If in doubt, get a longer zip and it can be reduced in length. There are tutorials online as to how to shorten metal zips using pliers.

Sizes available:

XS - 3X (see size chart in images)
