Somerfield Coat - Digital Sewing Pattern

The Somerfield Coat is a mix between a robe and a housecoat. Designed to be thrown over your outfit for a bit of extra coverage and style. It has a relaxed fit with a deep V front that ties at the front. It features facings with mitered corners on the hem and splits on both sides.
View A comes with 7/8 length sleeves with a large hem turn up and View B has mid length flared sleeves with a rolled hem.

This pattern is for woven fabrics.

Suitable for intermediate sewers and above.

Suggested Fabric: 

Light to medium weight woven fabrics with good drape – silk crepe de chine, washed linen, soft cotton, soft hemp blends, lyocell. Stiff fabrics are not recommended.

Please note: If you’re using a patterned fabric with a repeat that you’d like to match, you may need more fabric than what is suggested above. Use your discretion.

FITTING NOTES:

This pattern has been drafted for a height of 5’7 and a B cup.

There are 4 inches of ease factored into this pattern design.

I recommend making a toile first to work out any fitting alterations you may need, before cutting into your chosen fabric. 

This layered PDF pattern comes delivered in a zip folder, with an illustrated set of instructions, a printing and assembling guide and two options for printing – a PDF file for printing at home, designed to fit both A4 and Letter sized paper (44 pages for both views).

And two A0 PDF files, plus one A1 PDF file for View A sleeve to take to the copy shop if you’d prefer not to assemble multiple sheets.
