Trigg Shorts - Digital Sewing Pattern

The Trigg Shorts are a basic, casual pair of shorts finishing above the knee. They feature an elasticated waistband with a drawstring, side pockets and back patch pockets. 

This pattern is designed for woven fabrics but could also be made in stretch fabric.

Suggested Fabric:

Main fabric- Mid/heavy weight linen, hemp, tencel, chambray cotton, medium weight denim, board short fabric.

Lining: Lightweight cotton

If you’re using a patterned fabric with a repeat that you’d like to match, you may need more fabric than what is suggested above. Use your discretion.

Ensure your fabric is washed and pre-shrunk before cutting.

Notions:

-Thread

-2 small patches of interfacing – 2.5cm (1in) squared for both squares

- 5cm (2in) width elastic: (knitted or woven elastic is recommended.
Avoid braided elastic.)

-2 sets of eyelets with an outside diameter of 1.2cm, and inner diameter of 0.7cm (optional- if not using buttonhole opening on waistband)

110cm to 190cm (43in to 75in) cord for drawstring
(optional – can make own drawstring from fabric, if preferred)

This digital pattern comes with an illustrated set of instructions, a printing and assembling guide and two options for printing – a layered PDF file for printing at home (20 pages), designed to fit both A4 and Letter sized paper. And a large format A0 PDF file (1 page) to take to the copy shop if you’d prefer not to assemble multiple sheets.
