Wolfe Top - Digital Sewing Pattern

Regular price $22.00 $0.00
Tax included.

The Wolfe Top is designed for knit fabrics.

Available in a B cup and a combined C/D cup, in sizes A to N.

View A features cross over front panels, cropped at the waist, while View B is a classic, fitted top that finishes at the hip.

Suitable for confident beginner sewers and above.

SUGGESTED FABRICS:

Knit fabrics with 40% stretch or more. Fabrics that stretch horizontally and vertically are recommended.
View A lends itself better to medium/heavy weight knits. Anything too flimsy won’t hold it’s structure as well on the front twist detail.

Please note: If you’re using a patterned fabric with a repeat that you’d like to match, you may need more fabric than what is suggested. Use your discretion.
Ensure your fabric is washed and pressed before cutting.

NOTIONS:

-    Matching thread to your fabric.

-    Optional: Twin needle

FABRIC CONSUMPTION:

See chart in images

SIZES AVAILABLE:

A to N (see size chart in images)

FITTING NOTES:

This pattern was drafted for a height of 5 ft 7. It has two cup size options - B cup and a combined C/D cup.
To find your sewing cup size, measure your high bust and full bust. The
difference between the two measurements will tell you your size.

Eg: 2.5cm/1 inch difference = A cup
5cm / 2 inch difference = B cup
7.5cm / 3 inch difference = C cup
10cm / 4 inch difference = D cup and so on

If you’re between the B cup and C/D cup options, I’d try a toile with the B cup first.

The top is designed to be fitted around the chest, but there is more ease factored into the waist. If you’d prefer a tighter fit around the waist, you may like to blend down to a smaller size in that region.

The structure and level of stretch of your chosen knit fabric will play a big part in how this garment fits!

I recommend making a toile first to work out any fitting alterations you may need, before cutting into your chosen fabric. Make sure the toile fabric is similar in weight/drape/stretch to your main fabric.

This layered PDF pattern comes delivered in a zip folder, with an illustrated set of instructions, a printing and assembling guide and two options for printing – a PDF file for printing at home, designed to fit both A4 and Letter sized paper (35 pages in total for each cup size).

And 2 large format A0 PDF files to take to the copy shop if you’d prefer not to assemble multiple sheets. (2 sheets per cup size).

Download and save these files to a desktop or laptop computer. Not suitable for smart phones and iPads unless you have the correct program to open a zip folder.

This patterns is for personal use only. Not to be used for commercial purposes.
